Rise of The Mongol Empire
The Mongol Empire officially became dominant when Temujin took the position as leader from Ong Khan, a man that was a father to him. Temujin overtook the remainder of the Jurched, Tatars, Merkid, and Naimen tribes. Jamuka, after succumbing to resistance, was surrendered to Temujin by his own men. Temujin slaughtered them for their disloyalty to Jamuka and tried to reconcile with his enemy and former anda. Jamuka asked to be killed, so Temujin granted him this. With no more restraints Temujin set out to conquer the surrounding area with his empire. He took the name Genghis Khan.
